Japanese Foreign Minister's Commendations 2022

On August 4, the recipients of the 2022 Foreign Minister’s Commendation were announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The commendation was awarded to 197 individuals and 48 groups or organizations worldwide, including the following group from Western Australia: The Bonsai Society of Western Australia Incorporated.
The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awarded to individuals or groups in recognition of exceptional and distinguished services in the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and their respective countries. We offer our congratulations and sincere appreciation of the efforts and service of the recipients.
Bonsai Society of Western Australia Incorporated
The Bonsai Society of WA was established in 1976, and since this time has made outstanding contributions to the promotion and popularization of Bonsai in Australia through various activities in the community. Activities have included seminars, standalone exhibitions, workshops, and providing displays for a wide range of events, shows and exhibitions. Their bonsai displays have been a regular and well-received inclusion in the yearly Emperor’s Birthday Reception hosted by the Consul-General.
