EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY: Housekeeper, Official Residence

The Consulate-General of Japan is currently seeking a professional and committed housekeeper to fulfil a range of domestic duties for our official residence in Peppermint Grove. This will be a full time position with normal hours from Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm with occasional overtime work for evening events.
Candidate must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.

- A range of general housekeeping duties (cleaning, vacuuming, event setup etc.)
- Laundry (washing, ironing etc.)
- General errands
- Table service
- Tea service
- Kitchenhand duties
- Wait staff role in the event of large receptions
- Receiving phone calls and visitors
- Other responsibilities as required
- Fluent in English
- Experience working in a similar role for a private residence or similar service environment will be highly regarded
- Positive work attitude and high work standards
- Japanese language skills welcome but not essential
