On April 29th, 2018, the Government of Japan announced the conferment of the Order of the Rising Sun, Silver Rays, upon Mr. Kyoshin Kayo, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to strengthening the relations of Japan and Western Australia. The Order is awarded by His Majesty the Emperor of Japan.
Since 1974, Mr. Kayo has made significant contributions to the teaching and instruction of karate in Western Australia.
